See whether an image carries our AI label or a C2PA marker in its metadata.
Metadata only. This only reads metadata already embedded in the file (our XMP label and any C2PA marker). It does not analyze the image's pixels and cannot detect AI generation on its own - that's a different, much harder problem no client-side tool can solve reliably.
No label does not mean no AI. If no label is found, the image may still be AI-generated or modified. Metadata is easy to remove, for example when an image is edited, re-saved or shared.
